How to make a background in Photoshop
Yep...so I've created some backgrounds, and I want you to have them.
It was actually pretty easy to do...
In photoshop, just open a new file, make sure it's the size of page you want: normally 12 x 12 inches. Make sure it has 300 pixels/inch resolution. This is the best print resolution.
Now that your file is open, use edit >fill to choose a colour.
Now, choose a brush to decorate the page with. Check out my previous posts for links to cool brushes.
You can then play with filters to change the look of them....pretty cool eh??
Here's an example!

Finally Found A Photoshop Template Tutorial!
I found it here, it's free of course! www.photoshopessentials.com
The site gives it for free but actually sells it in a PDF file as well. I just went page by page and did it quickly in photoshop. It actually gave me a simple three pane tutorial and then I made it into something much much different.
Once I knew the basics, I actually created my first template! woohoo! I've been trying to figure out how to upload it to here. Sigh....I guess that's my next challenge, but I'm way too tired!
I'll also provide it for free here! You can just take it, as soon as I figure that out! LOL

Looking for Photoshop Tutorials
I was just looking for a tutorial in order to create a template in photoshop. Wow! Talk about hard! I've been looking for a good half the day and still haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.
Lots of people want to sell me templates though. What can I say, I'm cheap! Very, very cheap!
I want to learn to do it for free!
Anyone out there who can send me in the right direction???

Sites With Digital Scrapbooking Freebies
Yep....it's the first thing I started to look for....talk about just crazy trying to find what I was looking for, considering that I didn't know what I was looking for.
I must reiterate, that everything I am doing is being done in photoshop! I am using CS5. But these things will work in elements as well!
ok...so some sites I cam up with:
freedigitalscrapbooking.com
http://www.shabbyprincess.com/
http://www.brusheezy.com/
http://www.1001freefonts.com/
So, there are some to at least get you started.
The fonts and brushes can be unzipped and loaded into photoshop. The first two actually have full packages that you can download and use.
